Senior U.S. FX Strategist


A top global investment bank is seeking a first-class Senior U.S. FX Strategist to join their team in New York City reporting directly to the Global Head of FX Research. The successful candidate will serve as senior contributing member of the global FX research team and number one strategist for U.S./Canada FX research. The responsibilities will include conducting highest-quality, rigorous and insightful FX research; authoring the daily U.S. publications, contributing to other regular publications of the team and producing topical theme driven research notes. He/she will advise senior business managers (trading, sales and banking) regarding profitable trading strategies, relevant macro-economic topics and possible implications for the business. The Senior U.S. FX Strategist will actively participate in client presentations; advising in-house traders on FX strategy; provide input into the development of quantitative models to help forecast and analyze FX rates. The successful candidate will ideally have a Ph.D. in Economics (preferably with dissertation in open-economy macroeconomics, international finance or international trade); two to five years of relevant public sector (Fed, IMF, OECD, BIS, etc.) academic teaching or industry experience; rigorous approach to research; excellent verbal and written communications skills and ability to effectively partner with members of the business and research teams.

Director, Senior Economist – Southern Europe


A top global investment bank is seeking a first-class Senior Economist – Southern Europe to join their team in London, reporting directly to the Chief European Economist. The successful candidate will serve as a senior member of the European team working closely with the firm's regional/global economists and market strategists. The responsibilities will include conducting highest-quality, rigorous and insightful economic research and forecasting; driving the firm's views on the Southern European economies markets; advising senior business managers (trading, sales and banking) regarding relevant economic topics/themes and possible implications for the business. The ideal candidate will have seven-plus years relevant economic analysis and forecasting skills (expertise in Southern European economies would be desirable); rigorous approach to research and strong econometric skills; innovative thinker; excellent written and verbal communication abilities; strong client-facing skills; ability to effectively partner with members of the business and research teams and graduate academic training from a top university (PhD preferred).
